BMST 2020 不参加のお知らせ。
誠に残念なお知らせです。
未だ一向に衰える気配の無い新型コロナウイルスですが、エントリーの判断となる６月初旬までに、ワクチンが開発されたとしても世界中で蔓延したウイルスが一瞬で無くなるとは考え難いと思います。
昨夜遅くに今年のチームスタッフで、アメリカ在住の日野さんと電話で話をしたのですが、仮に渡米出来たとしても、２週間の隔離期間があり、帰国の際にもやはり２週間の隔離期間が発生します。
つまりは約一ヶ月にも及ぶ隔離となる訳ですので、レース日以外に一ヶ月も休める人間は誰もおりません。
それに加え、通関時に行われるある種の検査機関がコロナの影響で正常に機能していないらしく、下手をすると通関で止まったまま、車両が受け取れない可能性が高い、と聞きました。（因みに日野さんは有りと凡ゆるものの輸出入を行う物流のプロです）
ですので何ヶ月も前から車両は先に送る必要があるのですが、それは現実的に不可能ですし、何よりも、クルーの健康と安全を考えた場合、今年のレースは見送る事が賢明だという判断を致しました。
今年、不安で、いまひとつ気分の盛り上がれない状態で向かうよりも、来年、気分を一新してチャレンジする方が良いと思っています。
１年なんて直ぐに過ぎますので、来年、2021年のレースに向け、これからも準備は進めたいと思っております。

The new coronavirus shows no signs of slowing down, but even if the vaccine is developed by the beginning of June, when the race entry decision is made, it is unlikely that the virus that spread around the world will disappear in a moment.
Late last night, I talked on the phone with Mr. Hino, who is a member of this year's my team and lives in the U.S.
Even if I could go to the U.S., there would be a quarantine period of two weeks, and when I return to Japan, there would also be a quarantine period of two weeks again...
In other words, no one can rest for a month outside of the racing.
In addition, I heard that there is a high possibility that some kind of inspection agency at the time of customs clearance is not functioning properly due to the influence of Corona, and if things go wrong, the LSR will be stopped at customs clearance and cannot be received.
So we have to send the LSR ahead for months, which is practically impossible, and above all, considering the health and safety of the my team crew, we decided it would be wise to pass this year's race.
I think it's better to change my mind and challenge next year, rather than going there this year in a state of anxiety and not being able to get my spirits up.
One year will soon pass, so we will continue to prepare for the BMST 2021 racing next year.
